Zambia 2009

We had a score to settle.  Back in May 2006 we had one principal objective on our first safari to South Luangwa in Zambia: to photograph Leopard.  Though Zambia’s premier wildlife park may have the highest concentration of Leopard in Africa, we were unlucky and went back home empty handed.  We decided to double-down and, in June 2009, we returned to South Luangwa hoping that our luck would change, adding several days in the Kafue and Lower Zambezi National Parks for good measure.  Fortunately the cats were out in good form this time!

More background info on this safari can be found here.  Also, we’re proud to note that some of our Lion pictures were featured in the June 2009 newsletter of Wilderness Safaris’ Shumba Camp.
